Ask a doctor for free — any medical question, answered online in seconds
Type the question you have been putting off. A medical AI reads it the way a doctor would, asks what it needs to, and answers with an urgency level and clear next steps. Free, anonymous, no appointment, no account.
Questions people ask here
Some of the most common, and how the AI handles each:
- “Is this chest tightness serious?” — it asks about exertion, breathlessness, sweating and arm or jaw pain first, because the answer is either “go now” or “probably not cardiac, here’s why”.
- “Can I take ibuprofen with my blood pressure medication?” — it answers for the specific drug, explains the interaction, and suggests the safer alternative.
- “My ferritin is 9, what does that mean?” — a low value explained, the usual causes by age and sex, and what a doctor will likely check next. The blood test analyzer handles a whole report.
- “Is a 39 °C fever in a four-year-old an emergency?” — a clear threshold list: how the child looks, hydration, rash, breathing, duration.
- “Is this bleeding normal six weeks after delivery?” — what is expected, what is not, and when to call the same day.
- “What should I ask at my cardiology appointment?” — a short list of questions that make the visit count.
How the answer is built
A one-line question rarely contains enough to answer well, so the AI does what a doctor does: it asks two or three things that change the answer, then responds in a fixed shape. You get an assessment (what this most likely is), an urgency line (routine, monitor, urgent, emergency), next steps (what is safe to do yourself and when to be seen), and red flags (the changes that would make it urgent). Sources from NIH, CDC or WHO are attached when a condition is named.
When to ask a human instead
A medical AI is the right first stop for most questions and the wrong last stop for some. Go to a clinician when you need something only a clinician can give — an examination, a test, a prescription, a referral, a certificate — or when the AI’s urgency line says urgent or emergency. If you are in an emergency now, stop reading and call your local emergency number.
Privacy, briefly
No account, no email, no transcript kept. Ask the embarrassing question; nobody is watching, and nothing is stored to be found later. The full policy is on the privacy page.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a real doctor?
- No — it is a medical AI, and the page says so up front. It is built to answer the way a careful clinician would at a first visit: it asks what it needs to know, gives a structured answer with an urgency level, and tells you plainly when a question needs a licensed doctor who can examine you, order tests or prescribe.
- Is it really free to ask?
- Yes. No trial, no card, no “first question free then pay”. A fair-use limit per session keeps it free for everyone and does not affect a normal consultation.
- What kind of questions can I ask?
- Anything you would ask a doctor: what a symptom could mean, whether two medications are safe together, what a lab value means, whether something is normal after surgery or in pregnancy, what to do about a child’s fever, how to prepare for an appointment. You can also upload a photo or a lab report instead of describing it.
- Can it prescribe or give me a sick note?
- No. Prescriptions, sick notes, referrals and formal diagnoses require a licensed clinician. The AI will tell you which of those you need and what to say when you get there.
- How many questions can I ask?
- As many as the conversation needs. It keeps the whole chat in context, so follow-ups like “what if it gets worse?” or “is that safe with my blood pressure tablets?” are answered against everything you already said.
- Do I have to give my name or email?
- No. The only things asked are age and sex, because they change medical answers. There is no account, no email, and no transcript kept on our servers.
- Can I ask in Spanish, Arabic or another language?
- Yes. Ask in any language and the answer comes back in that language.
